From 2013: The three mic drum overhead technique developed at Miner Street Recordings - much of it while the cameras were rolling in early Shaking Through sessions. Inspired by the equilateral triangles in our minds…. Brian and former Miner Street engineer / Weathervane regular, Jonathan Low (The National, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran) created this technique together, and both still use variations of it to this day.
